Jessa says HELLO

So I have to brag about the new addition to my family.  I've been without a dog for over 3 years and finally gave in and added this precious girl to my life.  This is the 4th St. Bernard that we have had and the last one was the first we adopted, having the first 2 from puppies.
Well I started investigating rescue/adoption and Jessa popped up in my email.
She is almost 6 years old and was surrendered from a breeder.  We don't know her entire story other than she has had several liters of puppies and now will get to live the rest of her life with us.
She is so sweet plus great with children and other dogs.
Being that I work from home, Jessa has become a mama's girl and she is my shadow.

Recently the weather here in Iowa has not been very friendly so we were in the craft room most of the weekend.  I needed to prep for my upcoming Copic class, but we had time to put together a card using the Altenew Build-A-Flower Hyacinth stamp set.

This set is so easy to stamp and is very realistic.  I did not keep track of the colors I used but there are so many possibilities including purple, blue, pink, yellow......and the list goes on.
I used papers from the Altenew Reflection 6 X 6 paper pad and added some sequins for accent.

Thanks for stopping by today and letting me gloat about my new furbaby.

I Love This Stamp

So being from Iowa, I was so excited to find this stamp on my recent travels.

I alway visit Palette & Paper when I go to Indianapolis.
Mare, the owner carries very interesting items and I always find something unusual that I haven't seen before.  I stamped the image several times and played with some Distress Oxide Inks for the blending.

Using very light colors, (sorry I didn't write them down) and some small blending brushes I added bits of color.  I plan on doing more of these to have them ready to go when I need a basic 'hello'.
I printed the sentiment from my computer but hope to find some state related stamps soon.

Thanks for making a quick stop by today.

Back From Vacation

Well I'm back from a Fabulous vacation and will have some new postings soon.
If anyone ever has a question about visiting the Cayman Islands, I'm here to say don't hesitate!
The beaches are beautiful and the residents are very friendly.  I was fortunate to spend a week in Grand Cayman and what a lifestyle.

Thanks for stopping by and look for some new post later this week.
