Hello Everyone!

It's so good to be back and blogging again.  My son is married and yes, we all survived.  We only had a rainy mist during the ceremony and then several rainbows appeared for the guest.
I still have some clean up to do around the house, but I really wanted to get back to my craft room and be creative.
Today I worked on a Mo Manning image that I think is so fun.  This cleaning fairy was a blast to color and put together. After coloring with Copic Markers I used some Basic Grey paper to complete the card.  The sentiment is from Stampin'Up!  Hope you enjoy and again its so good to be back.

I'm Still Here

I wanted to touch base tonight to let my faithful followers know that I'm still here and kickin'.  I have been sooo busy with my son's wedding and just have not had time to post, let alone do much fun stuff in my craft room.  I have been sewing, designing wedding chair decorations and bouttonieres.
I have all  those things completed and now I need to head to the reception venue tomorrow and hanging mega yards of wedding tulle.  I've attached a picture below of the bouttoniere and will hopefully post some other pictures over the next few days.  Please stick with me and look for more rewarding projects beginning next week.
This isn't the best picture and I added brown leather cord on the stem plus we changed the ribbon color to brown.  The wedding will be casual and adorned with all the fall colors.  My future daughter-in-law has grown all the flowers for her wedding.  We have also shopped all locations for fall Mums, now if I can just get a few more of mine to bloom before Friday.  Let me know if you have any ideas.  Have a good week.

Today is Yellow and Black day, although the Iowa Hawkeye's lost their football game I will honor them anyway.  I have use a new Hero Arts stamps that I pickup today after the Make-n-Take at All About Pictures.  I had a little free time to browse and look at some of the new arrivals and decided that this should come home with me. I wanted to show you the stamp and that it has a removable sentiment block that can be change depending on the occasion.  Its a great stamp and easy to add a little color with Copics.

I have listed the supplies below for your reference.

And yes, I've been on the Mo Manning website again.  I just love all the digital images that they have to offer and that it's instant gratification when I need something new to color. This little girl and her kitty are so cute, and look at that wild hair....The kitty looks like he is enjoying the hugs and somewhat reminds me of my Saint Bernard.  My dog Brutus, weighs over 150 lbs and would love to be a lap dog if I would let him.

Best Friend

Tonight I want to share a card that I made for my neighbor.  My husband and I have been blessed to find  neighbors that share our same Christian values and are the type of people that you can ask them for anything.
We both have this unspoken open house thing where we can call and go borrow items, also we both have frequent house guest which result in overflow situations.  Last month we housed her family members for a reunion and then this month they are housing family for us during the wedding.
I make many cards for them and they are always displayed in the kitchen until the next one arrives.  So, I did this card, put it in a frame and now I will make more cards so they can change them out for the season.
I used too many Copic markers to even write down, did some airbrushing and used a decorative border punch.
I hope you have a good holiday weekend. ~Nancy~

the big one.....

Today I have another fun image from Mo Manning.  I selected this image to make a card for my future daughter-in-law.  She has a pumpkin patch and has dreams of a pumpkin like this. The town where she lives has a big pumpkin festival which holds the 2nd place world record title with a 1662 pound pumpkin.   I remember when we first move to Iowa, my husband and I stumbled upon this festival and I've never seen so many HUGE pumpkins.  I was just amazed at the size and that there were so many pumpkins in one place.  At the time I had no idea of the history in this little Iowa town and the connection it has with the pumpkin.  If you'd like to read more about the festival go here to see the details.
To finish the card I needed some nail heads that matched, so I used my Copic markers and airbrush with a little B37 to fix that.  You will also see that I softened the white cardstock with some E55, once again with my airbrush.
This card was so much fun to make and I hope to color it again soon.  Hope you enjoy and have a great Labor Day weekend.  ~Nancy~

So, have you ever had one of those weeks?  I just couldn't seem to get a handle on the last few days of August and now it's September.  This will be a busy month and I'm sure that the events will sneak up before I know it.  My Son is getting married on the 24th and although my future daughter-in-law is handling most of the arrangements I still have my list to complete.
Today I have a card that I want to share that features another Dreamweaver Stencil.  I enjoy using these to make a background for a card and this one provides a great masculine feel. Once again I have to use those Copic Markers and see where it goes.  I also have added a few wheel cogs that I punched out of black.  Add a little twine and a sentiment, and there you go.
Thanks for stopping by today.  ~Nancy~
