Altenew February 2020 Stencil/Decals/Stand-alone Dies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

It's release time again and I have projects to share with you using new Altenew stencils. You should have landed here from Erum Tasneem's Blog and if not please go back to see her fabulous inspiration.
You can also go back and start the blog hop with from the beginning,
Altenew Card Blog.

You can also see the entire release here

My first card features the Wild Leopard stencil.

Using Altenew Crisp Dye Ink, Pale Mauve, Grape Agate and Amethyst I colorized the background.  The Mod Vases were also stamped using those ink colors along with Jet Black at the bottom.  I used the matching dies for the vases and cut the gold paper for the top of the vase.
I wanted to have some palm leaves sticking out of the vases and I needed to add color to the vellum so Altenew Pumpkin Pie Crisp Dye ink was added to paper before I cut the palms.  I used the Altenew Parlor Palm Die Set.

My second card features Geometric Roulette Stencil

There are so many things you can do with this stencil but I wanted to keep this card simple to make the stencil pattern a focal point.
Inks used for stencil are Altenew Crisp Dye inks, Fire Fly, Dew Drop and Aqualicious.  I colored the image from Altenew Stained Glass Window Set with my Altenew Artist Markers.  The sentiment is included in the Stained Glass Window set.  The finishing touch is fun Altenew Enamel Dots.

My third card uses two of the new stencils.

The first thing I did was use Orange Cream Altenew Crisp Dye ink along with the Wild Leopard Stencil to create a background.  Now I layered the Dahlia image over this panel using Altenew Embossing Paste that was colorized using Ruby Red Altenew Crisp Dye ink.
My sentiment came from the Altenew Hello & Hugs Stamp and die set.
Strawberry Mix Lucy's Gems were added for details.

My last card features Altenew On Point Stencil.

First I ran my stencil through a die-cut machine to add the embossing relief effect.  Using Altenew Crisp Dye ink in Aqualicious, Galatic Stream, and Grapevine I colorized the panel.  Altenew Geo Frames die set was used to cut 2 pieces for the card front. I also used Espresso Altenew Crisp die ink on the edges of the 2 die-cuts.
Wanting to create a more masculine card I selected paper from the Altenew Celestrial paper pack.
The sentiment came from Altenew Fancy Greetings, it was stamped with Altenew Embossing ink and then covered with Altenew White Embossing Powder.
Enamel Dots were used from the Rock Collection.

My Jessa

After my post yesterday with the St. Bernard stamp, I really wanted to color the image to look like my dog.

This is my first try and I wanted to share.  Still need to practice my transitions of colors.

I Love My Dog

I found this stamp recently and just new I had to have it.  Finally taking some time today to color the image.
The entire Stamplistic line of dog stamps have these fun wacky colors.

Looking at the plain stamped black and white image I thought, where do I start.
I decided to just try and duplicate the best I could.

This is my version and hope to color again in real colors to match my dog.

Taylored Expressions Botanical Beauty

I just received my new Taylored Expressions Botanical Beauty stamp and die, so I had to break it out and play.

I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  Using the edger die I trimmed the image to attach to the card front.
Using a stencil I created a background for the image.
A simple sentiment finishes off this card.

For my second card I decided to color the image in a monochromatic color-way.

This card is a single layer and simple color.
(I will admit it looks much better in person than it photographed)

Trying New Colors

The other day I featured a card with my new favorite Copic Marker color combination.  Well today I decided to try the same concept using my Altenew Artist Markers.  The stamp set I have chosen is Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Poppy
As I mentioned before, it's my opinion that not every image lends to this type of coloring but this Poppy stamp work great.  This coloring style is not meant to have an even blend between colors.
I love the pop of color and artist look.

The markers I used: Ocean Wave, Sea Glass, Warm Sunshine, Crimson, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Moss.
I fussy cut a mask for flower and then sprayed Altenew Ink Spray in Jet Black and Antique Silver.
The sentiment if from the Altenew Poppy stamp set.

After coloring this image I decided to try my hand with another color combo.

The markers I used: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Sea Glass, Buttercream, Ocean Wave, Deep Iris, Rouge, and Grapevine.
I covered a panel with Altenew Gradient Lines Washi Tape, fussy cut the image and used dimensional tape to attach.
Layering a turquoise panel on the A2 card base, I added a few white pearls to finish thing off.
The sentiment if from the Altenew Poppy stamp set. I stamped and cut a small tag shape to attach with green twine.
