My Jessa

After my post yesterday with the St. Bernard stamp, I really wanted to color the image to look like my dog.

This is my first try and I wanted to share.  Still need to practice my transitions of colors.

I Love My Dog

I found this stamp recently and just new I had to have it.  Finally taking some time today to color the image.
The entire Stamplistic line of dog stamps have these fun wacky colors.

Looking at the plain stamped black and white image I thought, where do I start.
I decided to just try and duplicate the best I could.

This is my version and hope to color again in real colors to match my dog.

Taylored Expressions Botanical Beauty

I just received my new Taylored Expressions Botanical Beauty stamp and die, so I had to break it out and play.

I stamped the image with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  Using the edger die I trimmed the image to attach to the card front.
Using a stencil I created a background for the image.
A simple sentiment finishes off this card.

For my second card I decided to color the image in a monochromatic color-way.

This card is a single layer and simple color.
(I will admit it looks much better in person than it photographed)

Trying New Colors

The other day I featured a card with my new favorite Copic Marker color combination.  Well today I decided to try the same concept using my Altenew Artist Markers.  The stamp set I have chosen is Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Poppy
As I mentioned before, it's my opinion that not every image lends to this type of coloring but this Poppy stamp work great.  This coloring style is not meant to have an even blend between colors.
I love the pop of color and artist look.

The markers I used: Ocean Wave, Sea Glass, Warm Sunshine, Crimson, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Moss.
I fussy cut a mask for flower and then sprayed Altenew Ink Spray in Jet Black and Antique Silver.
The sentiment if from the Altenew Poppy stamp set.

After coloring this image I decided to try my hand with another color combo.

The markers I used: Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Sea Glass, Buttercream, Ocean Wave, Deep Iris, Rouge, and Grapevine.
I covered a panel with Altenew Gradient Lines Washi Tape, fussy cut the image and used dimensional tape to attach.
Layering a turquoise panel on the A2 card base, I added a few white pearls to finish thing off.
The sentiment if from the Altenew Poppy stamp set. I stamped and cut a small tag shape to attach with green twine.

More Purple!!!

Working on some more purple today, I decided to play with my Altenew Build-A-Flower Crocus stamp and Die set.

I stamped the Crocus with Altenew Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultra Violet, Fresh Lemon, Honey Drizzle, Firefly and Grass Fields.  Dotted Washi Tape from Altenew is one of my favorite backgrounds to use and it works great for this card.  The sentiment is also from the Build-A-Flower Crocus set and stamped with Jet Black ink.

Playing with a little Gina K today

Today I had a chance to play with the new Gina K January Kit.

Starting with the Friendship Hearts stamp set, I created a background with the stitched heart.
I love the "Galentine's Day" sentiment and just had to use it on the card. I sprayed a little glimmer mist and placed a few sequins to complete the design.

For my next 2 projects I used the 'A Big Hello' stamp set.

I typically don't select purple for my projects but it's 2020 and I need to step out of my comfort zone.  Lovely Lavender, Wild Lilac and Plum Punch inks from Gina K were used to stamp the images. By layering the inks I achieved the tone-on-tone effect. Clear Wink of Stella was added to accent the flowers.
I stamped the hello sentiment and sub-sentiment in black ink.
Three tiny silver gems finish off the card.

The last card started by using a water spray over the inked stamp from the card before this.  There was plenty of ink left on the stamp to achieve a watercolor look for this image.  You can see that the light color of Lovely Lavender is more prominent this time.  I needed a soft lilac Glitz Glitter Gel so I mixed a small amount of Lovely Lavender ink with White Glitz Gel. The stencil I used is Gina K Mandala Burst.  The sentiment and sub-sentiment was stamped with Plum Punch.  Again a few sequins complete this card.

My New Favorite Copic Color Combo

I recently discovered a Copic Marker color combo that I wanted to try and can
I say, I LOVE this combo.
I feel that you need to have a floral image that has a design that lends to this type of combo though.  For my project I selected Memory Box Rose Bouquet (CL5241).

My favorite new color combo is BG11, BG15, Y15 and R05.

Learning after years of coloring that not everything has to be blended perfectly,
YG greens were selected for my leaves along with a few other colors for the remaining flowers.
The finishing touches are a some Lucy's Gems, Cantaloupe Mix.

Thanks for stopping by, now off to find some more floral images to color.
