Watercoloring can be very relaxing for me because I enjoy how loose and forgiving it is. My favorite images are florals and today I selected this great one from Altenew.
The floral image more than covers an A2 card, so you will see I trimmed it down, covering the card front.
The image was stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto Arches Cold Press 140lb watercolor paper.
I used my mini ink cubes to watercolor and started by smooshing the pad onto a white tile. This is an easy surface to work with and clean-up is a breeze.
I selected Fresh Lemon, Mango Smoothy, Peach Perfect, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry for the flowers leaving Parrot and Dark Chocolate for the stems and leaves.
Using a paint brush and water, I freely colored the image adding different layers of color after drying the first layer.
After the image was good and dry I did a very wet, loose water color background using Dew Drops. This made the image pop and really finished things off.
I selected the Halftone Everything Stamp and Die for the sentiment
A little glitter paper for the sentiment and accent along with Clear Wink of Stella.
Thanks for visiting today
Blessings,
Nancy
