Do you have a hard time coming up with ideas for masculine cards, well I do?
I must admit that I've loved this stamp set from Altenew, the first time I saw it.
When I first saw the set I pondered over it having a difficult time envisioning making a card with the stamp set. I loved the images and the sentiments were great. Finally I made the purchase and I'm so happy I did. I can see the mushrooms stamped in many different color combos, but I decided to keep them neutral for this masculine card.
I also love using black on my cards to make the images 'Pop'.
(helps with the masculine theme)
I started my project using the wood grain background
Using Versa Mark Ink and white embossing powder, I created a background on light kraft paper.
I stamped several mushrooms and stems which I admit are so cool.
I can't wait to use this stamp many more times.
Adding a focal point for the mushrooms, I cut out a circle in the center of the woodgrain panel. The composition called for rounding the corners on the base panel, which also placed an emphasis on the black background panel.
I also placed a black edge on the sentiment panel using my black Altenew ink pad.
Hopefully you will be inspired like me to select a stamp set that continues to call your name, even if you can't quite figure out why.
Trust me, you'll be happy you did.
Thanks for visiting.
Blessings,
Nancy
