What's In The Pear Tree...

I found this digital image the other day and it really looked like something I wanted to color.
I wanted to keep the finished card simple, so I colored the bird and layered the image on several pieces of pattern paper.

The Chevron ribbon that I used for the bow is from Amuse' Studios.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Greetings from The Outlawz.

It's that time of the week again for the Greetings Team to offer up their inspiration.
The Outlawz want you to show us your projects using at least 2 pattern papers.
Just remember you have to have a sentiment but other than that, anything goes.

My card this week is a step card.  Using at least the 2 pattern papers I went to the scraps and starting digging.  I used my new Amuse'Studio bow die to add that fun accent,
Thanks for stopping by today and hop over to The Outlawz and see the DT inspiration.

Autumn Greetings

I have a paper pad from Hampton Arts, Autumn Flowers Collections that was the inspiration for this card.  I love the muted tones and colors.
This is a very simple card that has several layers and I topped it off with a basic pumpkin image.
This is a top fold card and I placed the accent bow and sentiment on the right side.
The bow  was made from an Amuse Studio die.  They have two sizes and this is the smallest of the two.
I do suggest that you use double sided paper to make the bows.
Thanks for stopping by today and if you need more information about this post, please contact me.

Big Hugs

I want to share another Amuse Studio card today which features the stamp set
'woo hoo for you'
SISM025
I used one of our monthly inspirations to jump start my design and with a few variations, here's my finished card.  This was an easy card and fun to put together.
If you haven't had a chance to experience Amuse Studio, you should go over to my site and look around.  The cardstock is great for cards because it's white on one side and color on the other. Super colors to pick from and oh, so many of stamp sets.
We also introduced digital cut files this month that coordinate with stamp sets,so check those out.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Halloween Treats for You

I wanted to share a couple of treat ideas with you.  These have been inspired by the Amuse Studio Catalog and their facebook page.
Having most of the supplies, I made a small candy/treat box and then the fun broom sack for treats or a sucker.
The printed straws are everywhere today and they come in all colors.
The spider, bat and pumpkin are die accents pieces from the Candy Box set.
The box is the base of that set.  Just add accents to decorate.

For the broom sack, I first cut slits down the sack and stopped about 1 inch from the bottom. I put the straw over the sucker stick and placed in the bag. Using some twine I tied the bag around the straw, then added accents.

In Everything Give Thanks

I''m posting a little early today because I have a class at All About Pictures tonight.  I will be teaching another dimensional flower class tonight and we will make an adorable sunflower vase.  You can see the project here

As I have been mulling over my stamps and pulling out ones that don't get alot of attention I came across the set with this hydrangea. With the weather here in Iowa being at a beyond scorch level most of the summer, I believe that is why my hydrangea's never bloomed.  So guess what...I'll just make my own.  The image here is from Stampin' UP! along with the sentiment.  I hope you enjoy and also give Thanks for everything in your life.

Ribbit...

This Penny Black image was so much fun to color.  I think that I like this little guy almost as much as I like Mimi.  I am sorry to admit that I don't have the Copic Marker colors written down for this card.  The frog on the log is from a Stampin' UP! collection that I like to use alot..  The image was cut using Spellbinders Curved Rectangles die, with some airbrushing and a Spica pen for faux stitching.  The green check paper is from one of my new found favorites by Amuse'.
Hope you have a good weekend and thanks for stoppin by.
