Rainy Day Thursday

Well, it's rainy here in Iowa today and I have to wait at home for a couple of deliveries.  I am working on all of my DT projects for the week and during my moving of stuff on my desk I uncovered this cute little Mo Manning image that I colored at least a year ago.  So I gathered up a few papers, pearls and accents to put together this card.  I left it without a sentiment thinking that it could be used just like it is or I can add the sentiment for a special occasion.  Granted, Bella has Easter eggs in her basket and Bronte has on rabbit ears, I could stretch it for a couple of weeks if I needed a basic little card.
Thanks for stopping by for my quick post, now it's time for me to get back to business and finish my weeks assignments.

Facebook Fun

I must admit that I just recently became somewhat attached to Facebook, partly because it's the main communication vessel of one of my Design Teams.
Well, while checking in the other day I noticed a fun group associated with Mo Manning.  Needless to say it sparked my interest because I love her images and have many in my inventory.
So, I took the jump and joined the group.  I wanted to show you the card I made with a head shot that was offered to the group.
If I've said this once, maybe even a few times before, I love to color 'Red' hair.....

so here's my little card using the image.

Go visit Mo Manning Digitals and check things out.
Thanks for stopping by today.

The Outlawz Challenge this week

This Week over at The Outawz our challenge is 'Hi Ho Hi Ho, It's Back To School We Go'.
Mo Manning - Harvard
I chose a Mo Manning image which should be no surprise.
I colored with Copic markers and selected various papers from my stash to put this card together.
I picked up these little wooden rulers and decided I just had to use them for this challenge.
I hope you have a chance to pop over to The Outlawz and see the inspiration from all the other DT's
Thanks for stopping here today.

Summer Strawberries

It's summer and time for strawberries and I want to share a Mo Manning image that I got last year and never had a chance to color.  Knowing that I wanted to make the strawberries red, I then needed to find a paper that would work with that color.  I had this paper from Pine Cone Press that has been laying on my desk just waiting for the correct image.  Today was the day.  Having 4 patterns on one side of the 12 X 12 paper was just what I needed and the perfect fit.  I love this color combo anyway so it was so easy to put together.  The sentiment is from Amuse Studio and then I added a little bling.

I hope you have a great weekend and as always, thanks for stopping by today.

the big one.....

Today I have another fun image from Mo Manning.  I selected this image to make a card for my future daughter-in-law.  She has a pumpkin patch and has dreams of a pumpkin like this. The town where she lives has a big pumpkin festival which holds the 2nd place world record title with a 1662 pound pumpkin.   I remember when we first move to Iowa, my husband and I stumbled upon this festival and I've never seen so many HUGE pumpkins.  I was just amazed at the size and that there were so many pumpkins in one place.  At the time I had no idea of the history in this little Iowa town and the connection it has with the pumpkin.  If you'd like to read more about the festival go here to see the details.
To finish the card I needed some nail heads that matched, so I used my Copic markers and airbrush with a little B37 to fix that.  You will also see that I softened the white cardstock with some E55, once again with my airbrush.
This card was so much fun to make and I hope to color it again soon.  Hope you enjoy and have a great Labor Day weekend.  ~Nancy~

Friend

Today I'm sharing a card I made with an image from Mo Manning.  I have been fortunate enough to take several Copic certification classes and have found a wonderful mentor whose blog I check everyday. So the other day Debbie Olson posted a card and I immediately purchased the image.  I wanted to try and duplicate the hair since it was so different.  Debbie's final product is much better than mine and I have asked her permission to share mine with you. I have placed a link to her blog here and you should go see all her designs.  She is nothing short of amazing.
